The Petals of her Flower…

The ugly truth….

No!

Be quiet..

Stop, I’m a Virgin!

It’s ok..

Silence..

her  legs tightly close….

her body tenses up….

he continues to pursue the forbidden fruit of this 14 year old girl..

Please don’t!

It hurts!

Silence….

overcome by emotion…her head is spinning…her prized possession is painfully burning…

and she no longer is draped by the petals of her flower.

    Hey Denise,
I love how you’re transparent in all of your writing. Many women have low self-esteem, and they don’t have anyone to talk to. Your poem speaks a horrible truth. However, we need to hear it. Thank you for sharing.

      Hi Janiese,
Thank you. I try to “bear it all” so that others can see the depths of the pain that sexual abuse and rape causes. They need to know, that they are not alone and together we can stand up tall, no longer be ashamed, bring awareness and heal.

Hi Dusty, Thank you for your concern. As devatstating as it is/was. I know that what was used to destroy me, can be used to help others. And knowing this, brings me encouragement, hope and empowerment!
