When I slow down and sit with God in the now, I begin to see the purpose in the pause. I learn to listen, to breathe, and to trust. The in-between is holy ground, and as much as it’s uncomfortable, I won’t rush it. God is here, and He’s still writing my story.

Lately, I’ve found myself slowing down. There’s something sacred about pausing long enough to feel Gods presence, to breathe in peace and to exhale gratitude, this sacred practice of being present, brings me joy. – denise marie

When anxiety rises, pause. Breathe. Go outside, feel the wind on your skin, the sun on your face, and remember, you are held. God’s presence is near, and His peace is given, freely, again and again.

Gratitude doesn’t always change our circumstances, but it shifts our perspective. It reminds me that even in the middle of uncertainty, there is still beauty to be found. A breath. A sunrise. A kind word. The quiet presence of God.
When I choose to give thanks, especially in the small, ordinary moments, I make room for peace. I stop focusing on what’s missing and start seeing what’s already here.
Gratitude is not about ignoring the hard things. It’s about remembering that goodness still exists, even in the midst of them. And often, that’s where healing begins, in a heart that says, “Thank You, God, for today.” – denise marie

I am learning that there comes a time in my healing when I realize that what I’ve been searching for has always been within myself. Not in approval, not in perfection, but in the steady, unshakable love that God has for me.
When my identity has been shaped by pain, betrayal, or brokenness, I forget who I am. I wear a mask, I shrink and forget that I am deeply known, fully seen, and still completely loved.
Today, my healing begins in returning to the One who calls me by my true name, Daughter, Beloved, Whole and Loved. I am letting that truth rewrite my identity, it is who I am. – denise marie

There’s something sacred about being honest, with ourselves and with God.
So often, I come to Him with polished prayers, hoping to impress, afraid to expose the messy places. But God isn’t looking for performance, He’s looking for presence. He doesn’t ask for perfection, He asks for surrender. When I bring God my real fears, my doubts, my confusion, my anger, even my silence, I am giving Him access to heal, to speak, and to transform. Today Lord, help me to walk in your freedom.
